2026.05.20-22

Recently, we had the pleasure of attending a joint Lab Retreat co-organized by the Grabe Lab and the Ewelina Maล‚ecka Lab.

The retreat, held in Ostrรณda, brought both teams together to share ongoing research through scientific presentations, exchange ideas, and build new collaborations. Beyond the science, we had a great time getting to know each other during a cruise on Jezioro Drwฤ™ckie, followed by a bonfire on Wyspa Orzechowa.

We returned with new knowledge, stronger connections between our labs, and many great memories.

This event was made possible through EMBO Installation Grants awarded to Grzegorz Grabe and Ewelina Maล‚ecka.

I had the pleasure of delivering a lecture at the Gdaล„sk University of the Third Age entitled โ€œFighting Resistant Bacteria: From Antibiotics to Phage Therapy.โ€

I discussed the growing global challenge of antimicrobial resistance and the promising potential of phage therapy as an effective alternative to conventional antibiotics. It was a truly rewarding experience to engage with such a motivated audience of senior students.

I’m grateful to the organizers and all participants for the opportunity to share knowledge on this critical topic.

It was a pleasure to participate in the 25th EMBO YIN Annual Meeting in Prague. I was delighted to meet new scientists, attend inspiring sessions on AI in science, and share my research with the community. Excellent discussions and networking! #EMBO #YIN #Prague
